    Only for the 1500 and 1000 models before. Now you can with the 14 inch.

    Yea saw this today.... I could have had a 1400 with XP when I got my 1500 in July. This option was gone for a while I believe.

    how bout this, I just got mine from DHL YESTERDAY, and I ordered the 15" since the 14" screen couldn't come with XP Pro. :eek:

    oh well guess I'll figure out a way to enjoy the big screen... for me 14"W would have easily been enough but I'll take what I have.

    Same mine was ordered about 3 days ago, but I decided to take the Vista Basic. and the 14.1 inch screen. Oh well.

    You could have bought XP separately with a 14". V1400/I1420 XP drivers and guides on how to install XP on those were available for quite some time now.

    anyway I also noticed today it appears Bluetooth is only available now with Vista? wasn't when I ordered. just got this message today while configuring a 1400 w/ XP:

    I just got a new hard drive to install XP in my Vostro 1400. I'll keep the Vista on the other drive.
