Even though Lenova and Toshiba have more people using them then dell on this sight, there is always a significantly higher number of people in the dell section then any other. I guess that could be good or bad, but its cool to know that there are always alot of people on when you need help.

I read somewhere that dell sells the most computers... I could be completetly wrong, or my source might be wrong. I will try to find where I read this.

And yes, it's great that there are a lot of people on the dell forum.

i think dell is the largest notebook manufacturer in the world.

what exactly is the "most popular laptop" list on notebookreview.com based on?

first, attempt to read what you type before hitting submit... for god sake.. you were at about 20% correct there...

secondly, dell has the most market share of any computer company in the U.S.. I can't speak for the rest of the world but i know that much is true.

While not wholly accurate, true, according to the main page statistics which snowbrdkid clarifies here:

So harsh!!....if you can get past what you perceive as misinformation and not be so quick to …..well….ridicule folks, you may actually see that the guy/gal is actually giving us a compliment and at least prior to the negative posts, we reassured him/her there would always be a friendly, helping hand in the dell section of these forums.

I know Quanta is the worlds largest notebook manufacturer.
I know Compal is the words second largest manufacturer.
I don't think Dell has ever manufactured a notebook computer.

What most notebook buyers don't understand is that the major Brands are made by someone else striped down due to the cost cutting demands of the Name brands so they can spend all their money on marketing.

I don't think that most popular review is accurate at all, I don't ever remember it changing.

What you don't understand is that most important part of the creating a notebook is the design stage. Compal and Quanta don't design anything, they just manufacture them according to design documents. What they produce on their own are ugly boxes with the internals they steal from major brands... :p
