Hi guys im new here and just wondering about this laptop. I will be useing it mainly for flight sim. Ive heard that with games, the graphics card and the prossesor have to work good with each other well in order to get optimal performance from the laptop. What would be the best combination ect. My budget is about 1200 and can someone tell me what the best components for this notebook for gameing are?
    heres the link- http://www.dell.com/content/products/features.aspx/entnb_e1505?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs
    Thanks

With any great gaming rig the GPU(graphics processing unit) is the most important part. The CPU is important but not as important as having a great GPU. For the e1505 there are three card options. The first being an intergrated card. Stay away from those if you plan to play games. The ati x1300 is the next step up and should run MS Flight Sim ok, but in the e1505 getting the x1400 would be ideal. Check here for an link to a chart with an explanation of all the GPUs out there for notebooks. It explains everything you would need to know.

Not too sure about, but from what I have heard Core Duos beats the Turion X2 in performance, price, and battery life.

It's usually MUCH cheaper to get your memory aftermarket from newegg instead of dell, but I think dell's offering the free 1gb upgrade on the E1505.

I wanted somthing like 2gb memory but to upgrade to that on dell.com is 300dollars! Im interested in buying 1gb from newegg but what do I have to look for wen buying for this specific laptop? Im not sure if I could add memory to this laptop tho because the customizing chart only gives the option for half a gid or a full gb

Another question- I now know that there are coupons for this laptop. I think im going to be purchasing in the next few weeks. How much can these realy save for you, and do I have to spend a specific amount to get the discount? thanks for all your help guys

For games I would go for the T2500 with a 80 gig HD @ 7200 rpm, I am pretty sure they have a special were it comes with 1 GB of ram instead of the 512, then a 1 GB stick from newegg.com and sell one of the 512. The x1400 is the best card you can get with the e1505. Use the dell coupons as well.
