It seems like a lottery to find the best time to buy a dell. Go ahead and tell me I'm wrong but it started with the $350 coupon which was harmless enough, but then came the student site and the 200 dollar coupon. Again, didn't seem too tricky but when they out right changed how the coupons worked and how they stacked with each other things got pretty chaotic. Then The $350 coupon surprised everyone except for the few who read that it had a number of uses and then it would be canned, by disappearing. Then (probably the best deal) you could get a 15% off coupon that would stack with all the student deals, but as soon as it came it stopped stacking. Oh i forgot about their "free upgrade to ram and hard drives. This left me wondering if I should cancel my order and replace or not, not knowing when to get a best deal. In all this confusion there have been people doing what many have considered immoral and unethical. That debate has taken place already so theres nothing to be said about it. I think Dell needs to get their **** in a line and either stop using coupons and just do weekly sales or what not like a normal company, or just stick to ONE coupon at a time so we dont get stacking issues or have to play The Dell Lottery.

-
Oh... I thought there was an event called "The Dell Lottery" *sigh* I was about to ask where I sign up for it too!
-
I heartily Agree, lordofericstan. I wonder if this has made it to ideastorm yet. if not, it should.
-
Hah, at least you guys get coupons! The best I can get on an m1330 is 100 off up here in Canada
. It seems Dell's must be selling well up here, otherwise they would be pumping out more promotions.

good for us

I agree with you lordofericstan. Dell made it way to confusing for us consumers, which I'm kind of PO'ed at. But whatever, I saved a good $627 with my 1520.
P.S.
If you wondering why my price for my 1520 is so high, I got a 3 year warranty. -
But wth is the Dell boxing stage? -
Perhaps when they put your Dell in a box?
Or they have two similar systems duke it out for supremacy. -
. But I am concerned about the 8600 not being ddr3, but I'll take what I can get for the price. Plus it's not shipping till 8/6
, so I guess that Dell's downside.

I saw one better deal actually and it was with an ebay 15% discount, 200 student, epp, and the dell warranty discount.
