    The Dell Wait Game

    I ordered a Inspiron 1521 Spring Green on 7/26 and was told it would ship 8/14. I thought, ok...it will be here before my daughter leaves for college on the 17th. Got an automated message saying it had been backordered to 8/28. 8/28 comes...no computer...get another message...has been backordered till 9/5. By that time, i'm on the phone with Eduardo.....in the Phillipines of all places. Needless to say, he has a new a**hole. Ok, i go to work on afternnon of 8/28...come home and check the status again after i get off...they've changed the date till 9/10....and they call me the day after i see it on the order status that it has changed...so i make a call again. This time...the guy is surprised because i mention that finally, it's someone who speaks English. He starts out telling me that it's parts...and somehow somewhere...it goes from parts to the color...damn..make up your mind. And today...they send me an email informing me of the "GREAT" Labor Day deals that they have....hell...they can't even produce the ones they sold to customers in June...how do you think you'll get these done? The CEO is probably gonna be sitting in the Hampton's with a big tall Bud Light and laughing at all of us....including his cronies at his plants...damn MORONS

    If it makes you feel better I ordered mine on 8/21 and it should be arriving tomorrow, 8/31. No delays for me :)

    People, just ask for goodies, they will give you. Call everyday, and ask everyday. I'm getting one thing or the other everyday, and my 1720 is being delivered BEFORE the ESD. :)
