    Yes, this is the thread for people who have bought something else or are going to buy something else instead of waiting for the so called new Dell Studio XPS.

    Since September, I've bought 5 laptops in total.
    1 Lenovo T400 for the office.
    2 for the office (Sony FW)
    2 just this week for my family (HP HDX16t)

    My intended goal the entire time was 4 new Studio XPS 13 and 16 :(

    Ordered an Acer AS8930G instead of the studio xps 16

    got
    - 18.4 inch 1920*1200
    - p8400
    - 9700m GT
    - 4 gigs or ram
    - Bluray drive
    - 320 gigs hd
    For just over a thousand euros's - so much better than waiting!

    Though saying that I'll probably still take a look at studio when it comes out.

    HDX 18t was a great deal, they've offered $250 or so off for at least two weeks within the past month. I almost went with that.

    Geforce 9600 512mb
    320gb
    Downgrade to xp

    Don´t think Dell can improve that, I will only miss it's guarantee. On the other hand, I will have it nexxt week, and it's probably cheaper
