    Hi.

I've read that the M1330 can power upto a 24" external monitor, this is of huge interest to me and I would like to know if anybody has actually achieved this at native res. (1920 by 1200)

Ideally with the Dell 2407WFP or the newly released 2407WFP-HC but any legit confirmation on a similar setup would be greatly appreciated.

Would the HDMI (M1330) to the DVI-D (2407) provide any issues for image quality or resolution? Can the M1330 still run it's own screen in a dual config or is their only enough power to run the external?

    Thanks in advance.

This won't be a problem. Any card with VGA, HDMI, or DVI output will be able to manage 1920x1200.

HDMI is merely DVI but with a few extra lines for audio, and a different shaped connector. DVI->HDMI converters merely change the location of those pins, so there will be little to no loss in quality.

Dual monitors won't be a problem either.

Fantastic news. Thank you. The DVI-D on the 2407WFP-HC appears to support HDCP. Can I assume that the adaptors conversion between the HDCP supporting HDMI port and the DVI-D on the external monitor will not break that shared compatibility?
