If it's in the sorting plant and you are within 50 km of Toronto it should be delivered Monday. Stay near the front door. ;)

Wouldn't it be nice if teleportation existed? I mean, Dell could put our notebooks through a teleporter in the Dell factory and it would instantaneously show up in the teleporter on our front steps.

It feels like teleportation will exist sooner than it'll take for our notebooks to get shipped...

Haha, that's just bad luck - they probably didn't give the delivery company your phone number. Or the driver probably wouldn't call anyways if it was undeliverable. I know they haven't when they've delivered to me in the past.

that's what i'm wondering too... got into toronto late today (TORONTO SORT CTR/CTR TRIE, ON) and its back in transit now... since i live in markham i'm assuming its in the truck with tomorrows shipments :)

either that or its getting sent to another plant before it gets sent to me... if so i'll probably receive it late tomorrow or early thursday...

I think it really depends on where you live...

You'll get it tomorrow. Mine got into and subsequently left the Toronto sort centre last night, got into my local hub this morning and was delivered in the afternoon.

If you receive a "Door Knocker" (delivery notice if you are not home), you can request Purolator to do an Evening or Saturday deliveries for Dell Systems (only in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Vancouver).

Just call the phone # of the delivery notice (Purolator Call Centre) tell them your a Dell customer and give them your postal code, they can tell you what services are offered in your area, it's free, no charge to you

Last week, exactly last Tuesday of last week, I ordered online my new Inspiron laptop from Dell. Before that I spoke to a sale person who told me that he would call me before the end of the day to tell me when I can expect my laptop. He called and said that my laptop could arrived on august 5th but it could be before that because nothing was backorder. The next day, Purolator showed up at my door and no it wasn't my laptop but my bag I ordered to go with it. I did get excited for a second but I knew it was too quick. Even for the bag I was surprised because the guy called me at 5 PM and at 9AM the next day, Purolator was there.

So last Sunday night, very late, I got an e-mail from Dell saying that my laptop was shipped. Only yesterday did I see on the Purolator website an update on the tracking status and it hasn't changed since.

I am in Quebec city, do you think there is a chance I can get it this week or I will really have to wait till august 5th? I am really excited about getting my new laptop so I wonder why it is in transit for so long in the USA. How come they don't update more the tracking status. The guy at Purolator told me that Dell ships from Texas, USA... maybe this is why it is in transit for so long in the USA. I really wish we could find out more about where our products are when we check on the Purolator website.

OK so it is Thursday and my dell inspiron got home this morning. Once it was in Toronto, it came quickly to Quebec. I am so happy.

    Hi Guys,

I recently purchased a XPS M1330. I recieved an e-mail from Dell saying that my laptop was shipped on August 3, 2008. On the Dell website the estimated delivery date is August 5, 2008. However this is not possible because purolator told me that as of 12:30 pm August 5, 2008 the laptop is in transit in Texas. Based on your past experiences, does anyone know how many days I can expect to wait for the laptop to arrive in Ontario. Thank you.

I'm from Alberta and mine still hasn't been shipped yet, but according to an email from customer service, it normally takes 5-7 working days to arrive.
