    What's the best vista 32bit driver for 8600M GT ? :confused:
    I got 156.69 from windows update which is newer than dell driver. :rolleyes:

    Read laptopvideo2go forums. Some driver versions do better in some games than others. it depends on what you want to play.

    I'm using 169.04 in Xp for playing NFS and it is quite stable....

    I get good 3dMark06 scores with the new 169.28 version.
    Stable during Crysis-gameplay as well

    i am using 169.29 with vista 32 bit it works well no crashes in Call of Duty 4 all high, Gears of War all high(or just about), Crysis(medium/high), Half Life 2(Maxed out), CS:S(maxed out), command and conquer 3 tiberium war(maxed out), Team Fortress 2(maxed out)

    Hmm I think the same driver is pretty stable in Vista as well.... I use 169.25 for my Vista x64 but I do not play games in Vista but only in Xp.... ;)

    EDIT: Are WHQL drivers (like 169.25) better than non-WHQL drivers ? :(

    I believe the WHQL drivers are much stable and less buggy but performance-wise there might be drivers which give high fps than the WHQL ones....
