    I ordered a Dell Prcision M4400 mobile workstation on April 27th. It is now MAY 27th and I STILL don't have my computer! :mad:

    Every week, on the day the order is scheduled to ship, the shipping date is suddenly shifted one more week away. So far, this has happened to me 4 times!

    When I call Dell they always assure me that such-and-such is the ship date, but then, yet again, the ship date is delayed another week. It doesn't matter if I explain what has been happening - they just repeat back like a parrot that the system says that it will ship on such-and-such a date. I can see that for myself on the website! What I wanted was some kind of an explaination for the ridiculous delays and some kind of an assurance that I'll be getting my computer sometime within the current epoch!

    Emails and voice messages are never returned. Promises to "keep an eye on it" and contact me with more information are never kept. I keep getting shifted from one "specialist" to another that I never hear from again. I'm told my order has been "expidited" or on some sort of magic priotity list BUT I STILL DON'T HAVE MY FRAKKING COMPUTER!

    I've been a loyal Dell customer for 10 years and this is the kind of treatment I get?

    Today, for the first time, someone actually called ME, and I was told that it would ship this Friday.

    :mad2: SO not holding my breath! :mad2:

    Nothing definitive. Just a vague "probably waiting for a part".

    I just now checked my order status again and found that my order was canceled and a new order placed with 3 unauthorized changes!

    They changed my backlit keyboard to a regular keyboard, they changed the fingerprint swipe to the more expensive FIPS Certified reader, and they changed the operating system from the XP 64-bit "downgrade" to Vista 64!

    I've never felt so frustrated in my life! :mad:

    I'd have gone to a competitor weeks ago if I'd been able to find the high-level graphics configuration I need.

    Hey there!

    On something like this..where they have changed your order..w/out notification..you may want to speak with a Superv., Customer Resolution Specialist. I was under the assumption they contacted you before things like this happened. When, my lappy order had to be cancelled due to a part backorder ~ they actually called me to advise, and we went thru the *order refresh* together, and I still had to approve it.

    Cin,

    I supposedly am dealing with a Customer Resolution Specialist. She is, in fact, the only Dell representative that actually kept her promise to call me back. However, she told me that she would call me again tomorrow on the status of things, but the order has already been canceled & changed without consulting me. *sigh*

    Doodle;

    I hope that today brought better news on your situation? The Resolution Specialists are pretty good about followup.

    4 days is not that bad, I ordered mine in December, it was supposed to take 4 days an took more like 10 for weather conditions, holidays and excuses, at least I got it after all. If you are really upset just complain and ask for something haha. Gluck
