Used it on my 8600gt that had burnt out out of warranty, gas mark 6 for 8 minutes and it fixed the degraded performance.

For anyone else wondering what this is about, read this thread here. Fantastic idea, but a warning: ONLY DO THIS IF YOU ARE OUT OF WARRANTY.
It's anything over between 356 - 374 degrees Fahrenheit (180-190 degrees Celsius) as this is the temperature most common solder melts at. I think the guides recommends 364 Fahrenheit

This reminds me of the "Towel Trick" with the XBOX 360, which seems to work quite well.

Which was also said in the other thread; but I remember doing the towel trick and whilst it did work it was short term.
