I believe that $959 price they are showing is actually for the 1210, and they have just not fixed that one particular page yet.
-
Dell's servers are definitely having trouble keeping up with demand right now on the M1330 pages. Slow as molasses.

NBR members: stop stuffing Dell's website! =D

I just tried the online chat with dell and was asking why it had that price and hes like oh I don't see it, next thing I knew I refreshed and it was good, thats pretty cheap on dells part.
-
seems like they are still updating there pages -
Another bug ( I think) if you choose BEST as the option on the normal site, it includes the LED/web cam, if you choose it on the EPP site it doesn't. So now thats $139+ $93 (for the video card) which makes the retail site 200 dollars cheaper then the EPP site now.

Yeah, I'm going to wait for the dust to settle a bit before ordering one I think. This notebook is close to perfect, I just with there was a higher resolution available.
-
I checked the canadian website for this model and we don't have many options for configuring it, only one choice for the cpu, only one choice for the lcd you have to have the web cam, the hdd is more expensive for a smaller drive and the video card is more expensive than the us, I figured with our dollar being close to the us dollar it would be about the same price, I think I will wait until they have more choices for the cpu and lcd, otherwise it looks like a nice notebook

Umm, how can I get the M1330 starting at $959? Cause I have to say, this laptop is too damn expensive, once you add on all the necessary components. Ok, ok, it's not a 15.4" screen, but come on Dell, the MBP can be had for $2000 (and yet with better features and components than the M1330) or $1800 after a student discount. -
Your employer must be a member of Dell's Employ Purchase program, and they should have a code for you to order with.

PS
I hate to keep giving points to Apple, but they seem to have done right by their MBP and the PC laptop makers have a lot of catching up to do... -
I can configure a fully decked out M1330 for about $1980 (before tax) with my student discount. By "fully decked out" I mean comparable to the MBP (2.2GHZ processor 2GB of RAM and the same hard drive).
The specs are below:

MEMORY 2GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz
HARD DRIVE 120GB SATA Hard Drive (5400RPM) edit
VIDEO CARD 128MB NVIDIA® GeForce™ Go 8400M GS
SOUND OPTIONS High Definition Audio 2.0
FINGERPRINT SCANNER Biometric Fingerprint Reader
WARRANTY AND SERVICE 3 Yr In-Home Service, Parts + Labor - Next Business Day
ACCIDENT AND THEFT PROTECTION 1Yr LoJack for Laptops Theft Protection (CD Shipped Separately)

WIRELESS CARDS IntelJ 3945 802.11a/g Mini-card
Notice that 3 years of in home service are included. I think that's worth the extra 100 or so I'm paying. Apple only includes a 1 year warranty in their $1999 package. Plus the 1330 is more than a pound lighter.
ETA: The MBP has a better gfx card, but the 8400M GS will suit my light gaming needs fine. And the difference between the two cards isn't more than $100-200. So they're really almost equivalent systems. One is lighter and weaker graphics card-wise, the other heavier but lacking in warranty.
Their website is sooo messed up for the XPS 1330
