    Think I'd be able to get Dell to switch out the screen? I bought a D531 a while ago, and now thast classes have kicked in...1280x800 on a 15.4" is seriously too small.Anyone think theres a shot in hell of talking them into letting me get the higher resolution screen (even if I have to pay for it...)?

    yes of course, but they will charge a lot. i would look at ebay for one and do it yourself, then sell your old one back on ebay to minimize costs.

    how long ago? if your talking a few months back
    thats like going to a car dealership, buying say an audi with the 1.8 engine, then comming back a few months later and asking them to give you the 2.8 ...aint gunna happen, basically listen to post #2
