I was wondering if this was a good deal from dell. Free upgrade to 9 cell battery. This is cheaper then using the 25 percent code .
Only concerns are the monitor which has a 1920 resolution which might be too high?
Any input would be great , i've been trying to decide for days and need more input!

That looks like a great deal to me, but damn, that screen would wreck my eyes! My MBP has 1400x900; I can't imagine using so high a resolution on so small a screen. FWIW, I have 23" and 24" monitors with 1920x1200 resolution and they seem fine to me.
-
I dont know how you get that deal but that is a good deal..
-
Pretty decent deal. If this helps you decide, I got mine for $1100 shipped; the only difference is the 6-cell battery, cpu, hard drive, and non-bluetooth.
I am happy with the WUXGA monitor. -
-
If only they let you get a LED.
-
I wouldnt say no to that haha... Defo buy.
-
in terms of money saver its good (~33% off). But you have to ask yourself whether a WUXGA+ (or anything else) is something you really want. You can customize exactly what you want and use a 25% off coupon instead.
-
If you use the 25% coupon you can get pretty much the same system, except with a LED screen, for $40 than the deal in this topic would be if you upgraded it to a LED screen.
-
Well its definately good to know others have bought it
-
Does anyone here actually have this laptop with the 1920 x 1200 resolution to give their input? 15.4 inch as the size of course.

Seems like Dell wants to get rid of stuff not selling well and gives you the worst options like a very large but slow 5400 rpm drive, a screen where you can't read the names of the files in order to open them.
I would personally use the 25% coupon and get LED, 7200 rpm, T8300 and come out same price for better product. Good Luck -
I thought the 320GB 5400 was comparable to a 200 or 250GB 7200 drive.
-
thanks shinta13, let me know how it is
.
Also is the LED LCD screen really worth the 200 extra zebo? you said you would personally get that screen so i was curious what the benifits are. -
Its only 50 US dollars more than WUXGA+.
Search the forum, theres are a lot of posts comparing the two.

i know. it was only an example of the multiple discussions about this topic on this forum.
so dorko..did u go ahead with the deal? -
actually i passed on this deal, i do believe it will cause eye strain and will be hard to read items unless you are close to the screen. I also noticed dell is continously having deals indicating they want to get rid of this crap!. Their new laptops are coming out in the next to 3-5 weeks and i will buy then. Either get this cheaper or get a better one for the same price.
This a good deal from dell?
