Thoughts on my new 1420...

Greetings everyone...

My 3rd day with my new 1420! I do like it but...

1. Will it hold up? Same $ I spent on this, could of got a Latitude. See
specs below.

2. Perhaps should of got the 1440 x 900 vs. the 1280 x 800. The screen
is nice, just spoild by my desktop 20" HD Monitor.

Specs - 2.4 Duo Core - 4 Gigs Ram - Nvida 128 vid card - 320 gig hard drive -
9 cell battery - 1280x800 res. screen - Norton - Microsoft Office- Lid cover is Expresso ( Looks great )!!

Has plenty of speed, nice feel to it. Hope to hang on to it for the next 4 - 5 yrs anyway!

i'm still waiting for my 1420 to arrive...should be coming in a few days. i was actually going to order a d630 but switched 5 min before checkout...i hope i don't regret it.
anyways, do you plan on carrying it around with you? do you think it is too heavy to manage?

I like mine. I don't carry it too much. But I don't think you will find the weight too much to bear. I have the 9 cell battery which adds more weight. Sounds like yours will be well appointed.

The build quality seems ok, I for some reason thought the case was metal vs. plastic.

I have a Inspiron Desktop, 531 S with a 20 inch. Dell HD Monitor. But I love the idea of portability.

Ordered mine 4-4 and received it 4-8. Good luck with yours.
