Asus, Acer, and Toshiba have all released ultrabooks. Anyone know when Dell is supposed to join in?

Dell's had the Latitude 13/Vostro V13/Vostro 130/131 for quite some time. It isn't an ultra ultra book per say, but it doesn't have the ultra book price. I haven't heard of an official Dell ultrabook yet..

I think if the V130 refresh (now the V131) kept the overall look and port layout they would be onto a winner. The V131 now just looks like most other laptops. The V130 looked spot on.
I guess the major change was to add the removable battery (something that is not a feature of the new ultrabooks) so maybe just a higher capacity battery, but sealed might have worked?

Well no, the sealed battery was paper thin and was a ZIF connection. There was no way to make such a thin notebook have any longer battery life as a sealed battery.

i search google news about this every week or two, it looks like not until 2012

I am hoping they keep compatibility with all their current AC chargers, that would be true mobility, especially in a corporate/enterprise environment.

I see no reason why Dell would make a different AC adapter, the Latitude 13/ Vostro V13/V130/V131 all use the standard Dell tip for the past 6+ years..
