    Hi @all!

First of all, I'd like to say Hello, as i am new to this forum!
My name is Tobias, I'm 24 years old and come from Bavaria, Germany. So i want to apologize in advance, if my English isn't perfect. I hope you will understand me anyway.
I'm glad I found this forum here, it seems very well frequented and helpful to me. In Germany, Dell notebooks are not that popular among private users, so there's no good german Dell forum, and the DCF isn't very helpful, lots of questions and no answers...

    But now to my issue:
I own a Inspiron 9400 with the 1440x900 display. A few days ago, I noticed a tiny irregularity in the top left corner of the screen. There are 2 very small lines (about 2 -3 mm each) which seem a little brighter than the environment. It can be seen best, when I look at the scrreen a little from beneath and use a blue image. With very bright or very dark images, it looks allright.

I personally think that it is kinda normal, but nevertheless wanted to ask what you think about it. Have other users with this similar issues?

I took 2 pictures to show it to you.

First one is shot by day and doesn't show the problem pretty good:

So I shot the second one at the dark and adjusted the contrast and color of the picture (not the display) to make it better visible:

    Thank you for your answers!

    Greets from Bavaria,
    Tobi

Looks like light leakage. Not a big deal unless it's going to drive you crazy.
I have the same thing on this E1505 but alot worse. I just pretend it's not there, I'm waiting for a replacement anyway because of other issues.

    Thank you for your answers!
No, it's not driving me crazy. In normal viewing angle and distance, it is not visible anyway. I just spotted it somehow by chance and wondered if this is a "normal" fault or if it's more serious.

BTW: Is there any way to see from which manufacturer my display comes without opening it?
