    not all batteries are sony my 1210 is sourced by samsung but the indicator works the same

    I'm sorry but where is the "battery status button"? I saw the LEDs on the back of the battery though.

    That's a great tip, zx10guy. Kind of makes me want to dig up my old Inspiron 3500 to see if those old batteries have that feature as well... :)
