OK, that's just weird...guess what I just got in my email?? A coupon (10% off) from the Dell Outlet!!!
Unfortunately, even after the 10% off, I can get the same or better deal new using the $325 off coupon!![]()
I'll just keep looking while the coupon is still good...maybe something good will pop up!
Now, let me wish for the VOSTRO's to be in the Outlet!!!![]()

You probably would have better response if you had posted in the Sony forum and not the Dell forum
.

I got 6 pages of *****ing. What more could I want?
-
-
Lol. I'm thinking of returning this VAIO, and actually customizing one on their site.
For $1,338.99 you can get
T7300
1 GB Memory, I will upgrade to two, since I have RAM. It's only one stick.
100 GB HD
8400 GT
Home Premium
Wireless N
Bluetooth
Large battery
What a deal, considering the prices of Sony's. Plus I like it, it's lighter and thinner. Oh, by the way, this is for the FZ series. -

I owned a Sony Vaio FX-210 that I got as a graduation gift from my folks in
'01 and its still kicking to this day. I sold it for 150 bucks to a guy I work with and he says its still running great. The only thing I replaced on it was the harddrive. I looked at Sony before ordering the 1520 but they are expensive! -
Does Sony Vaio's come with a lot of bloatware?
-
-
does your skin have acid in it? wtf happened to those palm rests

Jeez... I think some people's sweat composition has a pH of 1 or something. None of my stuff ever looks worn out from sweat or anything.
-
oh and by the way.. that is not my laptop lol..
-
You're bad at telling me that I made my bad choice. A picture from a 15 year old laptop shows nothing about a laptop company. I can tell you that any laptop will age, and you know that VERY well. I'm not going to use this laptop for that long. 3 years at the most. So stop *****ing.

Rep............. -
-
Actually I have done that. Haha. I look at the differences between McDonald's, Subway, and those little fast food places. Subway is healthier, tastes better, but is more expensive.
McDonald's is ceaper, faster, but not as healthy. Hahaha. Wow. -
Qwazzy didn't ask anyone what he should buy. Look what he got!!!
-
What about Quiznos? Quiznos is toasted!
-
-
Well, Subway's toasted doesn't taste like toasted. Quiznos > Subway.

Wow. I AM SORRY, that I am not American, and that I don't think for myself. I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I don't wanna be fat, I'm sorry.
-
-
That really doesn't matter.
-
But back to tha point and away from fast food
I had a VAIO FS for two years before.... well..... tomorrow when i get my new one lol. Neway It was a really good laptop............... BUT
I recovered it millions of times. Once the hard drive broke so i borght a better one + sum memory. The head phone socket broke too easily. Mended once then cudn't be bothered so used usb simple sound card. My cousin bought the same one at the same time (ie i bought it for him (meaning my dad leant me money) and he paid me (meaning my dad. Im still at school btw n so's my cousin)) His broke within a week. so they sent him a new on only they stopped making them so he had to pay £50 for 0.1GHz (the slightly better one). About a month ago his motherboard fried. And he was past his warrenty.
So i am going to sell mine as soon as get my Vostro. -
ATR, is qwazzy's purchase offending you or something? I think he knows what you think of his choice (we all do,) and you've pretty much graduated to attacking him personally now, which is not cool. -
-
In other words, I'm sorry people are giving you cr*p. You totally don't deserve it. -
-
It all comes down to the computer. I don't really think you will know how long your computer will last, only how long other computers that are the same as yours have lasted. You can guess, but that is just stupid. I got what I got. That was my choice.
-
I need to PIMP that Vaio.
-
-
Pimp out a laptop? LMAO.
-
Sony is a very reliable company that is both aethestically and performance pleasing . The only quarrel I have with Sony are their steep prices. That is why I have a Dell.
-
I agree with BertieW, you totally dont deserve ppl ripping on you, Quazzy, for a laptop you chose lol.. how absurd is that? :S
Anyways man, enjoy that sleek looking laptop! Will be aesthetically pleasing for years to come even if the innards age a ton hehe -

Mate I own a lot of Sony equipment (LCD computer screen, 4 sets of headphones, DVD recorder, 2 CD players, 40 inch LCD screen). I love their products, I have NEVER had any problems with them.
I am certainly going to get a Sony laptop, I don't care if I could get something far more powerful for the same price. If you want a laptop designed to near perfection you got to go Asus, Toshiba, Sony or deer I say it Apple.
Its dell I don't trust, in NZ you commonly have to spend NZ$500 to go to a three year warranty (its like they know something is going to go wrong), Sony on the other hand charge between NZ$200-$300 depending on the initial price of the notebook for a three year warranty. And we all know Dell's customer support is even worse than their product quality. High fives on getting a Sony your a wise man. -

I also have a pile of Sony memory sticks and Sony CD-RWs around too...

-
Oh. Well, that's not necessarily bad, though. Your needs might be different. -
why is this thread still up??
-
Why shouldn't it be? is there a problem with that?
-
. They been working great for some years now

I decided to shell out for a Macbook Pro (willing to pay more) instead of the 1520 because of the long wait so whilst I can say that:
So how are you enjoying T7700, LED LCD screen, GDDR3 video memory, 1-inch thickness, Gigabit Ethernet, 2.5 kg weight, backlit keyboard, etc? Oh wait, I don't think you have that in your Dell.
I choose not to do it because what is the point? Am I going to change your enjoyment of your 1520? The original poster has already stated that he enjoys his computer so all you are doing is being negative and rude.
To stay on topic, I used to have a VAIO S270 with ATI 9600M and it was great because it was really nice to have the 8600GT-equivalent-in-its-day in a 13.3 inch-package and I had no trouble with it at all - I also had an inclination towards made in Japan than made in Malaysia (per Dell) or in Taiwan (per MBP) -
Old news....
-
Not sure what the original intent was, but after 10 pages of "mine's bigger than your's", hopefully someone has answered your quest.
Tired of waiting, got a VAIO
