I've had my Studio 1537 for over a week now, and I have two questions.

    1. Do you experience sound crackling? If so, what Wifi card do you have? I have the Intel Wifi 5100 card, which does occassionally cause some crackling.

    2. The headphone jack has some line noise which is present all the time. Do you have this as well?

I haven't experience either problems, but I have the Dell Wifi and also the 1535. The speakers overall aren't the best, but using headphones I have no problems.

    Possible fix:

Control Panel > IDT Audio Control Center > Advanced and disable "Power Management" option.

I've had crackling from other laptops in the past, fixed by using a newer audio driver...

    try this:
Disable 802.11a band in your WLAN properties.
Go to Manage Network Connections in the Network center
Then right-click the wireless, properties, configure, advanced tab, disable bands, and then from the selection 802.11a, apply these settings.
    You'll notice it right away...

Some people like me just don't have this option.
Especially if you are in EUROPA!

The crackling was too loud so I called Dell. They had to change the CPU fan and the System board. I hope everything works fine now. :S
