    Hi Board,

I am getting a studio 17 in a matter of days [thanks to you & all your posts I've reduced the mistakes I would have otherwise made :)

While i am waiting for my order, I was wondering what I could do now to download software, patches, [from Dell, graphics card drivers etc] and other things I could do that would reduce the time it would take to get my new machien up 'n running :D

I've read about re-installing Vista from Dell disks [some post I'll have to re-find]

    ATI drivers?

I will be replacing my desktop with this and have 100GB to back-up [any tips / experiments / horror stories would be useful]

I';m excited now but would like to make some disks or something so I'm all good to go.

    Thanks
    Best
    K

You can use Vlite to slipstream Dell's drivers into a clean, customised, and automated Vista installation. I would also recommend modifying ATI's Catalyst drivers with the Mobility Modder for good GPU performance.
