    Today is my EDD, waiting at my door....

    The product was already shipped on Sep 12 and my Edd is today.

    Hopefully my 1520 will arrive :)

    Hate to burst your bubble, but you probably won't get it until next week. Usually takes up to 5 business days. Best to call Dell and try get a tracking number so you can see exactly where it is.

    Usually does take about 5 business days.

    Maybe because of all the recent delays, however, Dell has definitely been FLYING laptops from the U.S. to Canada. My XPS m1330 shipped last Thursday evening (Sep 6) at about 6pm and arrived in the Toronto sort center next day at 4:30 in the afternoon. It went out for delivery on Monday Sep 10, but without the weekend, would have been delivered in less than 48 hours.

    Don't listen to those pessimists awaisuk, if it's not your ESD (estimated SHIPPING date), but as you originally said, your EDD (estimated DELIVERY date), then I'm sure it'll be there sometime today!

    Well as someone said the shipping company working hours are until 5pm, its past 5 pm for me, so i guess Monday or Tuesday then :(

    I just checked the shipping company website and the shipment has arrived.

    Here is the detail:

    2007/09/14 16:31 Shipment In Transit
    2007/09/14 16:30 Received

    at 16:30 Purolator recieved it, and then shipped it again to my house i guess?

    They dont ship on weekend do they?

    RE: the plane palets of Dell computers is a possibility.

    Mine is as such:

    2007/09/14 16:38 Shipment In Transit
    2007/09/14 16:37 Received
    2007/09/13 05:00 In Transit in U.S.

    It had to be a flight as normally it is described as 'Ground Linehaul' for 3 days to Canada.

    so then mine...was shipped Thursday, landed and was sent from Depot to Purolater depot NOTL Friday and will be here Monday. It has to be by flight.

    if we know its coming on monday or a certain day is there a way to get an estimated time of arrival on that day? or if it says before 3 do we basically just wake up and wait for it? :p

    No way to know what time they'll deliver it unless you've had something delivered by Purolator before. They usually deliver around the same time as they follow the same route.

    When I have something coming via Purolator, it arrives anywhere between 12noon and 1pm.

    I find that most people can expect residential deliveries via Purolator to arrive some time after lunch, with 1pm-5pm being the most popular.

    Before 10, the drivers are busy delivering expedited document shipments to businesses that are guaranteed by 8:30AM, 10AM and noon. :D

    Current Status With delivery courier.

    Est. Delivery Date: 9/17/2007

    :D waiting in my room on the second floor glancing out the window every couple of seconds to see if the dhl truck is here yet lol. it says its guaranteed here before 3:00 pm pst so hopefully only 5 more hours of watching haha

    edit: just got here at 10:26 pst, i'm kind of scared to open it now thinking i'll break it, i'll probably post again once i power it up/see it :D

    This whole excitment is so funny. I can't believe it. I will have my laptop in about two weeks so I will be counting minutes as you were, awaisuk. It is my first time with Dell and I would never think you need to wait so long for a laptop. But it is worth. At least we have something to write about here :)
