    Told I would get $100 dollar compensation for 8600 but never got case number?

    The title kind of explains things. I'm not sure what to do. The lady on the phone promised me my $100 compensation and that i would receive an email with the case number. Well I never did and i called her on july 11th.

    minj call in and ask them how much they owe you in compensation. AFAIK, they send the details 24-48 hours after your laptop ships. I'm waiting for mine to ship before I get my $125 compensation.

    I've gotten a few compensations and they don't make a case number for it. In a few days 2-5 you just get the coupon code. I know I called back and someone explained it to me. Don't worry about your money, it will come.

    DMAK i got 100 for the card, and 25 for the remote. you didn't get ripped off..you're getting two remotes! lol.
    np minj...usu the case # is in the title of the emails tho...but if you call in they should verify your credit =)

    I'm on chat with a dell rep, which is the nicest one i've come across yet haha. She verified that the rep who promised me the compensation is following up on it and nothing can be done until my laptop is shipped. Thanks though, i was freaking out that I wasn't going to get anything. One more thing....

    o_O! nooooooooooooooooooooo i don't want to wait past 8/2...and i want my glossy screen lol. though i'm sure a lot of people have it worse so i should not complain. maybe they'll compensate more for pushing the date back...lol.
