    Hi,

I've had such bad luck with m1330's and now asked for a return and refund.

Laptop 1 Returned - A01 MB, Dent in Palm Rest, Dead Pixel, Scratch on Keyboard ~ Key, Lose Charger Port
Laptop 2 Returned - A04 MB, CPU Whine, Wobbly Base
Laptop 3 Using Now - A01 MB, Lose Hinge, 'Slight Intermitent' CPU Whine, and Wobbly Base but Fixed now
Laptop 4 Sitting Next to Me - A04 MB, Lose Hinge, Lose Charger Port

So i've decided to opt for the more powerfull m1530 now, but really not sure how much bigger the m1530 is compared to the m1330? Any side by side pics?

I love the weight and portability of the m1330, but a higher resolution would be a nice option.

I contacted Dell UK Sales yesterday and after haggling so much:

    XPS M1530 CORE 2 DUO T7700 2.40GHz,800MHz,4M
Display 15.4" WXGA+ Widescreen (1440x900) TFT with Truelife
Fingerprint Reader Biometric with BLACK accent
CCFL backcover black & 2.0mp camera
    Memory Dual Channel 4.0GB (2x2048) 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
Hard Drive 200GB Serial ATA (7200rpm)
    8xDVD+/-RW Slim Slot-Load Drive
    Battery XPS Primary 6-cell 56WHr Li-Ion
Graphics Card 256MB NVIDIA GeForce Go 8600M GT
Integrated Sound Blaster Audigy ADVANCED HD Audio
    Dell Travel Remote control
Dell TrueMobile 355 internal Bluetooth Module
    Intel® Next-Gen Wireless-N Mini-PCI Card, EUR
    English - Vista Home Premium
English Microsoft Works 8.0 (Word Processor, Database) with Recovery CD
4 Year Consumer XPS Premium Hardware Support
Base Warranty - 1 Year XPS Premium Hardware Support

All for £1253. I'm trying to get them to do it for £1200. I paid £1100 for my M1330, spec below, back in June.

Is it worth getting the Blu-Ray Drive instread of the extended 4 year cover or changing anything else? Is it also worth waiting for the new processor and/or LED screen? Would i really miss the LED screen as my m1330 has it?

wow thats some crazy experience. The 1530 is a nice latop. I would get it if i wanted something that size. Personally I'd try a different 1330.

I would get the LED screen but wouldn't bother with a bluray drive just yet. Who knows which format is going to win.

    Id go for another 1330.

    I'm really confused.

I Just don't know which one to go for, but probably be happy with either. Both are not far off apart price wise and the m1530 is more powerfull.

also the m1530 doesnt seem that much bigger than the m1330 looking at this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBcvxrXybTM

Big laptops get annoying. I'd keep trying till you get a good M1330. Once you get a perfect one you'll be glad you were so persistant.

Well do you want your system to be easier to travel with? Use it in cramped airplane seats? Going to game with it? Those types of things you may want to ask yourself.

Personally I don't game a lot on my laptop and I take it with me every where I go.
