The WiFi Intel card in my M1210 works pretty well in most conditions under most routers/hotspots except for this specific café I go to that have wireless access, the card doesn’t seem to be able to locate ANY hotspots/routers in the area (There are 3, one from the café and a couple from elsewhere).

I’ve isolated the problem down to my 350 Bluetooth card, I’ve tried the following scenarios:

    1) Toshiba Bluetooth Stack Installed = Cannot find any access point
    2) Toshiba Bluetooth Stack Uninstalled = Found all access point
    3) Reinstall Toshiba Bluetooth Stack = Cannot find any access point

This problem is always replicable and I’ve done it for several times now to gain access in that café.

I’ve also tried to uninstalled the Toshiba Stack and use the Microsoft Stack to connect my v270 mouse and WiFi works fine. The main reason I need the Toshiba Stack is because I need both my mouse and my Logitech Bluetooth Headphone connected at the same time and the Microsoft Stack doesn’t support that.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? Suggestions for fix or workaround?

There are known issues with early versions (1.0 & 1.1) of Bluetooth interfering with WiFi b/g since they use the same spectrum (2.4 GHz). I was under the impression that version 1.2 and above resolved these problems. Does the problem occur with the Bluetooth Stack installed but with Bluetooth turned off?

Great idea, I should give that a try.

I really doubt that it's interference of the wave band that caused the problem, at least it seems to work perfectly at home/work and fine at the cafe using Microsoft's BT Stack.

If both Bluetooth and wifi work fine everywhere else except the one specific location, my guess would be that your hardware is NOT the problem but there is something at the hotspot that needs adjusting (although I can't imagine what it might be)...if it never works anywhere I think you have a problem that requires BT module replacement...send it back to Dell for warranty repair.

Mine works fine 100% of the time using Toshiba stack.
