I have a problem with the right side of the touchpad which is used to scroll down large documents.

When I use it to scroll down, it goes into this automatic mode where it keeps scrolling down on its own even after I let go of it, it wont stop until I tap the pad or until it hits the bottom of the page, it is really annoying. I tried to change the settings in the touchpad options but nothing seems to change this behavior. I also tried to just uninstall the dell touchpad driver and use the default windows driver but then scrolling doesnt work at all.

Anyone know how to fix this, an alternate driver maybe?

In a Dell Community forum earlier this year owners of Inspiron 1520's, 1525's and some Vostro 1500's were having similar problems. The geeks at Dell determined the cause to be faulty A.C. adapters shipped out with the computers. Many had their A.C. adapters replaced which solved their problems while others who also had their A.C. adapters replaced did not solve their problems. The problems were uncontrollable erratic cursor movements and touchpad problems. Dell's forums have been reworked, you might want to check in and check there for more answers.
