On my keyboard I find that when I type, if my hands even come remotely close to the pad in front, my cursor will take off and land elsewhere on the page, leaving me to type in between other words without my awareness.

Is the pad too sensitive? How do I change this so I don't have the annoyance of having to move my cursor back to it's original spot?

    Thanks

There is a Touchpad utility to change the sensitivity. It should be in the control panel for Mouse. I turn it off as I use a mouse.

I have this issue sometimes also. Go in to the control panel and start playing with you mouse settings. You can adjust sensitivity, but you can also increase touch delays and stuff like that so that you are not accidentally clicking or whatever. It may take awhile to tweak it, but the reduced annoyance is worth it.

Otherwise, my GF just got an HP . . . nice feature there is that you can turn the touchpad off when you are not using it. Handy. :D
