Tracking System?

How do you track your order once it ships?

My order has appeared in "Order History" in "My Account" at www.dell.ca. It has a service tag. Is this a tracking reference?

 

When I ordered my alienware pc long time ago, I got a tracking number from the carrier, I went to the carriers website and followed it from flordia to my house.

I don't know if your carrier would do it, I had DHL

 

I think mine is going to ship through Purolator.

 

You should get a tracking number that looks like this: BKJ1234567. You can then track it down through Purolator's website.

 

Once your laptop ships Dell should give you a Purolator shipping address. It usually takes a day or 2 from dell putting it into shipping, for it to get to canada... once in canada you should get it the next day (or in 2 days depending on where you live)

 

Hmmm then the tracking number is not the same as the service tag.

Where should I get this tracking number?

 

mine was shipped today too but no tracking # was displayed =(

The order status on the "My Account" page shows it shipped but the order status page with the little pictures of each stage still says "In Production". However, that page doesn't seem to update promptly.

 

Get to your system status page. once it says it has shipped about half way down is a sentence about tracking. Press it and it direct links you to Purolator. They are not always the most accurate so heads up.

If you want the number...when you press on that sentence, look at the hot link in yr address bar. the number will be there and start with AAK or something similar...for Canada

 

Same with me, they say it takes 1-3 days for that order status page with the little pictures to update and display tracking # and also 1-3 days for the Order Status on "My account" page

I wonder if the CSR will tell us the tracking # b4 it updates?

 

So that's where the problem is. It could takes a few days before the order status page is updated so I'll have to call and find out my tracking number.

My Order Status page was updated this morning. I now have all tracking details.
