A friend of mine has an Old Dell 6000 and she doesn't want to sell it online coz she won't really get much for it..Is there any way she can trade it in or sell it to Dell?

Dell does indeed over a trade in/buy back program, however she will DEFINITELY get more for it if she sells it then doing the trade in.

I think she would also get more if she tried to sell on Craigslist, or via newspaper advert' too.

She wont get as much as she would like with a trade-in.

Dell rips you off :) Like really really rips you off. Sell it on craigslist or ebay to get your best dollar. I think you will get more than you think. Is it the inspiron 6000? what are the specs?

Yup....big time rip off. Selling on your own via Craigslist, ebay, or even an advert in the local paper..will turn a profit! :D

Second that... ask your friends first and let them know you want to sell it maybe some of their friends or relatives may be interested, you may find you'll get a better deal that way.

Where are the details of this program? As far as I know they only offer free recycling of Dell products or recycling if you buy a Dell product.

I see, thanks. I've used Dealtree before because Newegg had an offer at the time for the same sort of service. I agree that you will get much more doing it yourself, this is just hassle free.
