I've already posted this under the "Accessories" forum, but I just want you guys to see it too!

I saw a similar backpack to this at Costco for $39.
-
wow thats a really nice backpack... I deffiantly could go for that.
-
Do NOT worry about room with this beast! It's got two main HUGE compartments (both compartments have extra separted space, a padded one for laptop, another for folders) separated by a small MP3 player compartment in the middle. The laptop compartment is attached against the middle compartment as opposed to against your back like in virtually all other bags. This assures for safer protection of your Dell. It's got plenty of accessory room in the front as well.
The bottom line is, it's a MUST HAVE if you need a laptop backpack! -
The word "similar" is the key my friend. I can assure you the extra $10 is well worth it. Plus, the Swiss Gear logo alone is worth the money

I think this is what he's talking about
I heard the swiss one is kinda heavy though... -
The Costco one is a great deal, I don't deny that (My mom's a member, I'll have to check it out to be sure). That one was like selling for $60 (not on sale) at BestBuy. But the Swiss Synergy one is NOT as heavy. I felt them both.

i just stick mine in a regular backpack
-
I stick mine in a TimBuk2 Medium Laptop Messenger. It's so convenient, perfect if you're a student or are a biker.
-
No, here's the better Backpack IMO.

-
The bestbuy bag is WAYYYYY too big.
-
i have the timbuk2 with no laptop yet but target has that bag for 50bucks
-
Nice,
I bought myself a Kensington Contour yesterday
http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=2425
It's on sale at Canadian Futureshops until tomorrow for $50. -
I don't know whether "that bag" you're referring to is the one in my thread, but the Swiss Gear at Target is different. It's worse in quality/style/storage area as well as warranty (1 year vs. lifetime).
I went by Target to check it out today. I had gift cards to both stores and made the right choice

I have one of those Dell nylon messenger bags i put it in, its a bit plain but i sewn on some patches and stuff to decorate it
-
That's cute
.
And no offense, but I hope you're female
.

You'd think the bag was made by Illini Pride LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Illini Pride, Inc. (CEO, chairman and majority shareholder: Illini Pride).
-
LOL, that was pretty funny. But seriously though, people should get this.
-
There's a way to make it more compact, there's a flap at the bottom of one of the dividers. It's suppose to act as a bottom pad, just lift it up and voila, you're synergy backpack is more compact.
-
I just bought this bag today, awesome value, I love it, fits my 1520 perfectly.
-
I picked one up yesterday. I like it. Still waiting on my laptop, though.
-
Actually no, this isn't the one I was talking about.
I'm not sure if the one I saw was only at the Costco I went to, but it was also a Swiss Gear. -
dont really like backpacks for laptops all i use are those carrying suitcase type with handles.
-
I prefer to transport my gear with some sense of style:
-
I bought that Swiss Gear backpack off of BestBuy (when it was on sale, now it's back up to $84) and it's great. It's a tight squeeze for my 1520 wtih 9-cell battery to get in there, but I think it's good that it's nice and snug. This thing has so many compartments you can store pretty much anything in it. It is kinda big though.
-
I might look into it. I have an older Swiss Gear backpack that I've been using for about three years now. I've tossed it, kicked it and stuff it under seats quite a few times. I've also flown with it loaded to the max. It's still holding up pretty well. Some of the plastic that sees a lot of hits has cracked and one of the "shock absorbing" straps tore the seam out. It still feels solid though with my laptop and a bunch of books in it though. I will definitely stick with Swiss Gear though.
-
M8 if ur style consciouses don't get a swiss bag!! get a northface or black on black backpack! most of em hav laptop storage.. if only armarni or Diesel etc made lappy backpacks, id snatch em up in a sec!
-
How well does it fit the 1520 w/9 cell battery
-
At first you might not think it will fit, but it does. Been using the backpack for 2 months now and it's great. Carry my laptop home from college in it every weekend.
-
I got this bag, from Mountain Equipment Co-op ( www.mec.ca) if you're in Canada. Its not enormous, but I have yet to need more space. There is also a bigger version if you need it. I honestly feel that this is the perfect bag for a laptop.
-
I bought the bag the otherday and it fits like a glove. It's a little bigger then I wanted but I can carry all my crap no problem now.
