Seems easier just to buy a Mac if you need to have one.

Performance wise this 1520 I own is just plain phanominal! It is probably the fastest computer I've seen running Vista to date. Nothing lags at all... No matter how many programs I open. Nothing runs slow... Everything in Vista is instant... Opening applications, searches, flip 3d, everything...

Since we have pretty much the same setup (I have 2GB more RAM) I'm going to assume you're having the same performance. If so then you should be able to run anything on it...

Unless you natively need to boot a variety of OS's I recommend you use VMWare or MS's Virtual PC (free, but does not support 64bit guest operating systems)... Will be easier to configure and use. VMWare runs on both Linux and Windows host operating systems.

OSX runs ok hacked, but not up to par.

and to all the naysayers who whine that you can't, you are welcome to come use my machine at any time and see that you can.

the real question is why? there are incredibly few reasons to run OSX other than novelty. the only reasons it does OK is because it is built to run specifically on apple's overpriced hardware. Which can be nice for some, but makes porting a pain. In the end you can do it, but you'll realize there is... really no reason, OSX is just like any other OS, a tool for getting things done.

lol, i just wanted OS X because of a bet i had with a friend :p i loved his macbook pro and said i would put OS X on mine, i now realize it was a mistake :p, now i'm looking for a good guide about dual booting vista and XP on a dell computer, about deleting the recovery particion etc, if it is good, stuff like that..
