I'm trying to get the TV out to work on my Inspiron 1720. I am using an s-video cable to a VCR, then an RCA cable from the VCR to the TV. This setup works perfectly using the outdated Dell video card driver, but will not work at all with any updated driver. With any updated driver, the only external TV display I can select is HDTV, which is what my TV isn't. Is there a registry hack or other 3rd party program (I know of one for Linux) I can use to re-enable TV out?
