What could be wrong with my Dell Inspiron 1150? troubleshooting blinking lights?

    http://www.jdmoutlet.com/1150_front_314x314.jpg

That is my laptop. The three lights on the front from left to right. Power, Hard drive activity, Battery.

The battery light is currently blinking in a pattern. 4 orange then 1 green in probably three seconds.

Anyone know what the issue is?

The laptop seems to be working just fine. The battery seems to be fully charged. It is on AC power. I can't find any issues???

How long can you run on battery?

My Inspiron 4100 is like that and the battery lasts like 10 mins.

I believe it means that the battery should be replaced.

For me, it stops blinking like that when I remove the battery.

I think you might find something if you google the words: battery led blinking dell.

I would, but dial-up is painful.

Well I'm back at I was just told by my computer to plug it in or it would die. So its seems that you are right.

I ran it down to close to nothing today and it took a while to charge back up completely.

So it seems that I have lost 2/3 of my battery life. It was close to an hour now it is 20 minutes...
