I am new to the whole laptop thing, I am indecisive about which laptop to buy! I have always had desk tops from Dell and they have been good ones thus far, the only problem I have had with Dell is there Customer Support, I just can not understand them , but eventually they come through even if it takes all day! I have been looking at the xps 1530 but have also read where people didn't like the size of the screen..I have also been looking at the Inspiron 1520 (because I like the green one lol) and I just curious to see which is the best money wise....

I don't game! I do have a monopoly game and a puzzle game for the computer but that's it!

I will be using the laptop mainly for taking on vacation with us, and watching movies on it while in the hotel or what have you, and of course checking email..

As for storing photos and such, I do that on my desktop! Any help is appreciated, especially what I NEED to have on the computer..

    Thanks In Advance!

Read the Faq first and we will help you out :)

just a quick fyi, it not the size (like physical dimensions) of the screen, its its resolution. what it has is standard among all manufacturers like if you went to best buy a 15.4" laptop would have the same resolution, but dell typically offers additional higher resolution options for its users that prefer them.
