Ok, I have pretty much narrowed it down to the e1505 and D820. The Latitude is around $300 more after current coupons, so this could fluctuate. Here they are:
Latitude D820
Core Duo T2400(1.83 GHz)
XP Home
15.4 WSXGA+
512 DDR2-533
512MB NVIDIA Quadro NVS 120M
60GB 5400RPM Hard Drive
Fingerprint Reader
Bluetooth
Intel 3945 Wireless Card
9 cell battery
3 year mail-in service
$1943.00
- 400.00 off 1499 or more
$1543.00 final price before shipping and tax
Inspiron e1505
Core Duo T2500(2GHz)
XP MCE
15.4 WXSGA with TrueLife
256 X1400
60GB 7200RPM Hard Drive
8X DVD Burner
Intel 3945 with Bluetooth
85WHr Battery
Also added a backpack to get it to $2000
$2016.00
- $750.00 off 1999 or more
$1266.00 final price
The Inspiron is a little bit better equipped, but the build quality of the Latitude is supposed to be alot better. This is mainly a laptop to take with me to school so I want something durable. My biggest concern os the Quadro video card. I am not gonna play alot of games, mainly World of Warcraft. Anything more demanding I will play on my desktop. Will the Quadro handle WoW? It's not very demanding. Also, is the extra cost and slightly lesser specs worth it for the latitude? Thanks in advance!

I battled pretty much the same exact choice you are right now and between exactly the same 2 models. It looks like you did a pretty good job figuring out what features you knew you wanted and what features you could cut back on to get the price at where you wanted it.
I don't think you'd be disapointed in either choice, myself, I finaly decided on the Latatude D820 for a number of reasons though, mainly the better quality. I think for the D820 to come with a 3 year warranty std on the Latitude and only a 90 warranty std on the e1505 says alot about what even Dell thinks about the quality of the 2.
I also like the way the Business systems like the Latitude don't come preinstalled with all those garbage apps and AOL. The business systems are also more extensively tested for reliability, something I think is important to just about everyone.
I originaly speced my Latitude out and my e1505 almost exactly like you have done and still decided to go with the D820 myself, after a lot of thought and consideration.
Then once I made my mind up with 100% certainty about the D820, I decided to hold off another week and continue researching all my options just to be sure. After another week of thinking and researching, I knew I was making the right choice for me. As my bonus to delaying my thought one week it also meant one more weeks paycheck worth of additional upgrade options I could add on.
So inconclusion of my thoughts on your question, I think you'll be happy with either, but think you certainly can't go wrong in any way with the D820.
Trying to decide, HELP!
