Just use your University Name, the only place that it shows up is on the shipping label and carriers only look at addresses anyway.

Sweet, I have the exact same spec roughly, +/- the 9-cell battery, and I am pleased with my purchase. If you multitask alot, an aftermarket upgrade with the CPU will make the machine even better. :)
Btw, my price came out to be around 820 dollar as well.

I don't have experience with 6-Cell, but I uses my 9-cell without any specific tweak for power consumption and I get roughly 4 hours or so just browsing website, listening to music, and uses word to type up essays, and startup/shutdown.

#1 rule of buying from Dell: Never, ever, upgrade your RAM from them. I paid $76 for 4 GB on Newegg.
#2 rule of buying from Dell: Unless it's a cheap upgrade (My 160 GB was only $40 more), upgrade your hard drive from Newegg

I didn't do any tweaks though, I was running with High Performance profile. :p

I don't use my laptop on batteries all that often, so going through the hassle of tweaking the system is not worth my time. But wow 7 hours, that's pretty amazing. ;)

thx for the advice. I just went back and checked and the harddrive and RAM are the standard ;) but ill keep this in mind for any future purchases

seems like i should be able to get 2-2.5 hours out of my 6cell. 9cell would be nice but its $100+ and im already pushing my budget. maybe later on

Sweet deal. Enjoy your Vostro, they are really nice laptops for the money. I recently bought a Vostro 1700 when they had the $500 off sale. I was so impressed I bought another Vostro this time a 1500 from the DeLL Outlet Store for $479.

    It comes with:
    T5270 1.4GHZ 2MB L2/800mhz
    2GB RAM 667MHZ
    nVidia 8400 GS 128meg
    160GB HDD
    Dual Layer DVD
    9 Cell Battery
    Windows XP Home.
