    Does anyone know how to turn it off completely so I can use ethernet intead,since the touchpad above the wireless gets quite warm

    You can go into the BIOS and disable it there, or on your keyboard, there should be a wireless key on the F2 key - you can use that.

    Finally, if you are using Windows, press windows key + x, and you should be able to disable it in the window that pops up.
