my computer>my network places>view network connections

make sure your wireless adapter connection is listed. if it is there make sure it is enabled, if not, enable it. if it's not there then the driver might have possibly been uninstalled somehow rendering the wireless adapter useless.

the driver you can get from support.dell.com>drivers/downloads, enter your service tag # found on bottom of laptop. then browse to the wireless adapter section and download your model.

    OR

you can try right clicking my computer>properties>hardware>device manager>network adapters and click the wireless adapter there and click the reinstall driver button. if it's not under network adapters, it might have a question mark or exclamation point further down signifying a problem exists and attention is needed.
