First of all. Will Dell's accidental damage insurance cover if the GPU dies due to overclocking with rivatuner ? (if no, could one just uninstall rivatuner before the replacement or does rivatuners OC settings apply even though rivatuner is not running?)

    2nd question:

I wonder if the 8600GT is futureproof since there is no DX10 support (would a lappy with a 9500 GS with DX 10 be a better choice ? )

It is direct x 10 capable. Overclocking will void any warranty (if they find out about it..)

You can overclock it thats fine. Though they don't cover any DAMAGE caused as a result of overclocking. If thats the case, imagine the masses of Dell Laptops people would waste and exchange back to dell just because the user wanted to find the "optimal" amount of overclocking.

Well I know they won't cover it if they find out about it, but if you delete rivatuner they won't be able to tell, will they ?

Oh my bad then, I thought it only supported dx 9.0c
