    1. I see that going to 4 gigs of ram is only 50 dollars more. I plan to dual boot xp, so I am curious if xp 32-bit reads 4 gigs with PAE enabled on the dell?

    2. My brother is in the navy. Is having him buy it as a "gift" the best possible way for me to receive the EPP discount?

Any answers would be appreciated. Thanks.

It's only 50 dollars, you might as well. Plus then the DIMMs will be in pairs.

You might as well get the 4 GB if it's only $50. You won't be able to use the entire 4 GB, it's a 32 bit OS. I've never ordered through EPP but if your brother has the ability to I don't see why not.
