I hear about people getting 2 remotes with the M1530 but I only got one.......It just slides into the PC card slot and clips in. What is the other one for and why didn't I get one?

Yup me to - only got 1 and heard you get 2..... although I live in the UK - probably just getting shafted as usual!

tbh I don't think I will use it that much but it is always good to have a spare.

I got a refurb and got two. I'm fairly certain it's a mistake. I think you should have a dummy card for the express card slot and the remote seperate. I got a remote in the slot and then the packaged remote and battery with the software box.

Humph. I didn't get one at all! I've had to contact Dell support to get one sent out!

I contacted Dell via email and it took a day or two to get any response. Six days later, still no definitive word about it so I gave them a bit of a hurry up and they've decided to send one out and have given me the tracking number.

Who would've thought it'd take more then a week for someone to decide to send one out!?!

Never mind, alls well that ends well. I should have called them rathe then emailed them probably.

Online chat is the easiest with Dell. I hate doing the email thing or being on hold with the phone. With online chat, you can just let it sit and do other things while you wait. I just talked to them yesterday about getting the three prong AC adapter; got it confirmed in 40 minutes through internet chat, and it arrived today.

I only got one - but will I ever use it? Probably not. Will I ever use two? No.

I got 2, and it doesn't seem to be an accident either. It lists 2 remotes under my "Original System Configuration" when I log onto dell support.

If anyone did get two and is willing to help me out, I'm kinda interested in getting a hold of one to use with my Vostro 1400 and they don't seem to sell them separately on the Canadian site.
If you wouldn't mind losing a remote, PM me and we can talk...

When you first placed the order, was the remote listed on your confirmation email? I ordered the M1530 this week, and there's no mention of a remote on the confirmation. It wasn't available as an add on when I placed my order online.

Since I watch movies on my laptop when I travel, I want to be sure I get one.

    Thanks.

I think there might be some confusion as to how many you're supposed to get.

I got two brand new remotes, both in their little plastic bags.

Yes, although interestingly enough, there was only 1 remote listed in the confirmation email.
