My new i9300 has been assembled and tested. It is in the boxing stage with an estimated ship date over two weeks out. Will it really take that long? Are they purposefully delaying the i9300s? Or maybe the parts are in but their order of boxes has been delayed...

    Anyone have experience with this?

Thanks. Although I know for accessories that's not always the case. I'm a photographer, and I've had a lens ship date get bumped over and over again.

oh i have experience, and that is whenever you order a brand new Dell release it always takes longer on the shipping. I ordered the 700m when it was new and did't get it for over a month. I think if you're patient though you'll find it gets to you within the time frame specified as they always give you the worst case scenario of shipping dates.

my 6000 sat in boxing for 4 days, but i got it 9 days prior to the farthest estimated ship date. on the 4th day, i complained to my rep about it taking so long to box and i got my notebook upgraded to overnight shipping.

maybe if you raise a stink you can get faster shipping?

"Boxing" stage for a laptop means it's being shipped from overseas (Malaysia or something), to the Nashville Dell center, so it might take some time.

Dells are assembled in Malaysia. Boxing stage on Dell's website refers to the time it takes them to box it there and ship it to their Nashville, TN base which they must do before it is shipped to your house.
