Can someone explain to me the benefits and considerations concerning the choice between the uga+ display and the xuga with true life display on the dell 9300? Thank you.

I know things, things that could bore people to death.

The major advantage is that most people think the True Life displays are better because they have less of a glittery look to them. I have a TL on my XPS2 and it's a good display (although it sparkles and is getting replaced). TL displays are glossy and reflective, although in an open cafeteria with some outside sunlight coming in at college today my TL had reflections in it, but it wasn't enough to annoy me. I personally liked it better than my old antiglare screen on my Sony.

So I would say TL is better and worth the extra cost.

I got my Inspiron 9300 yesterday with the UXGA TL LCD as well. I did notice it to be glossy compared to my 19" Viewsonic LCD and other laptops ive worked with. When working on it I did spot some glare from lights on the screen occasionally but nothing to bother me, ive been using CRT's for well over 10 years and only started to work with LCD panels since Jan. of this year and got my 19" about 2 weeks ago so I was used to seeing some glare on the CRT(wasn't a flat display).

So far im pleased with the screen...graphics and colors are all very crisp and bright and clean compared to other laptops I work with at my job.

Anyhow ill see how it goes for me after a few weeks of usage.
