URGENT! Black or Blue?

OK the deal is I am ordering a dell tonight, but I need to do so before the live chat closes tonight to get some $40 dollar discount I was promised.

So what color should I get Black or Blue? I don;t want to be boring, but I don;t want my laptop to look tacky or anything. For those who have a blue one, How dark is the blue? Thx for the help

 

Probably not much help, but I went with midnight blue because I thought more people would have black. Haven't recieved it yet, but hoping it has that nice gradient effect.

 

I would go with Black ... but simply cause I'm gonna be using it in a corp environment.

well i hear the black top matches the black bottom, i got mine in today but its at my mom's haven't seen it yet, its black, the blue is a darker blue i think similar to the dark blue thread title bars, the black can pick up a couple fingerprints and the blue dont, theres your opinions, i saved 20 bucks by going with black but i dont know if you can get a deal on it or not

 

well colors are free on my order for some reason so its whichever I like best but I like them both

well... blue is flashy/preppy, black is suave/emo, your pick (i picked completely different stereotypes for you )

 

I voted blue because I heard the black's material is different and picks up fingerprints/oil much more easily.

Everything else held equal, I'd normally prefer the plain black look.

They are both very good choices, but two things to remember, black increases GPU performance and sexy factor by 4 each, blue will increase battery life by 30 minutes and add a sandwich making ability to you laptop, but it also subtracts from its screen quality 30% of max res

The choice is yours (more serious note they're both good looking and how often do you look at the top of your laptop when you use it?)

Not a problem, I just made a post that gives the pluses and minuses for all the colors in a similar fashion, its funny to me, but i'm tired and low on caffiene

Blue. Here in Canada, they were selling the 1520 about two weeks ago on The Shopping Channel and they featured all colors. From the camera angles, the blue had some fingerprints, but not many. And the blue seemed like a dark Royal Blue to me, but then again I only got to see on TV.

Black is very common. Go for the midnight blue

 

Yea I just blue but somehow the rep who placed it messed up my order and put black so I have to call and change it tomorrow

 

Blue has premium satin finish whereas jet black has matte finish.
I like the satin finish better than the matte. But blue looks odd when you take your notebook to the office.

 

you will be glad you went with the blue, because the finish is really. I love the brown finish on my 1420
