Hello Everyone,
I recently bought a Dell Inspiron 1520 and have just finished installing XP over its default Vista.
Video, Audio, and chipset drivers all seem to be OK, except that my USB ports don't work! I can't get my USB mouse to even light up.
In the Device Manager, the "USB Root Hub" is question marked as not having any drivers. Where can I get drivers for it?
Please help!
Thanks!

Have you installed any of those drivers? I would start with the chipset drivers. -
What you need to do is download the latest bios update, install the Notebooks System Software, and then reinstall the chipset drivers.
1. BIOS - http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&releaseid=R171301&SystemID=INS_PNT_PM_1520&servicetag=&os=WW1&osl=en&deviceid=12915&devlib=0&typecnt=0&vercnt=3&catid=-1&impid=-1&formatcnt=1&libid=1&fileid=233235
2. Notebook System Software - http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&releaseid=R161278&SystemID=INS_PNT_PM_1520&servicetag=&os=WW1&osl=en&deviceid=3601&devlib=0&typecnt=0&vercnt=1&catid=-1&impid=-1&formatcnt=1&libid=7&fileid=216007
3. Chipset - http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&releaseid=R153997&SystemID=INS_PNT_PM_1520&servicetag=&os=WW1&osl=en&deviceid=1134&devlib=0&typecnt=0&vercnt=1&catid=-1&impid=-1&formatcnt=1&libid=27&fileid=205326 -
if you come back from standby and the mouse or keyboard doesn't work...GOTO device manger >USB ROOT HUB> don't let it power off
USB Root Hub - Vista -> XP but USB devices don't work
