I have inspiron and have been using a set of usb headphones and some how tonight must have hit something because now the usb phones are not working but the speakers came on..

also if I use the earphone jack that works.. so what did I do to turn off the usb ports..

I shut it down, reset and nothing seems to be helping.

    thanks

Go to the control panel, then to hardware and sound, then sound. You should see something called manage audio devices. Plug in your headphones and see if they show up.
