Placed the order for a Vostro 1500 online on Friday. Later I called to upgrade to Vista Premium. The Dell CSR said he had to cancel the order and place it again with Vista Premium. He said that since it would change my deliver time, he would expedite the order, and upgrade shipping to next day (and I didn't even ask). I also told him I was worried about the LCD graininess and bleeding issues that were reported, and he said he would make sure I got a "good" LCD.
Well... my Vostro shipped today!!!! (Monday). That's 3 days from ordering to shipping. Now I am worried they simply reboxed a return and sent it to me. Should I be worried???

Mine shipped really quickly as well. I too got upgraded, and have heard that it doesn't really happen, although the shipping is fast(meaning it isn't upgraded to next day via DHL). The CSR's have no control over what LCD you get.

that quick of a turn-around unfortunately sounds like you may be receiving a returned item or an item that had been built and cancelled before it shipped from Dell. needless to say, do not pass judgment on the laptop until you have it in front of you and have seen it for yourself if it meets your expectations.

also they give the next day shipping to pretty much anyone that calls them just to make you happy and keep the customers hoping for the best. business is business
