I installed Steam and downloaded the new Bioshock demo on my new Vostro 1700. When I start the game, the screen goes black, and eventually crashes. "Bioshock Demo.exe has encountered an error and needs to close".

This is what happens everytime I try to run the game. Other games run fine on my new laptop. Any one else have an issue like this?

Did you update to the newest drivers? The 163.44 are designed to work with Bioshock.

The game should still run even if he doesn't have those drivers though, I had problems with the demo from steam too with the same problem, I redownloaded it and everything worked fine.
