Hey,
I'm looking for a utility to undervolt the CPU on my Studio 17.
This way the Laptop will stay cooler and that means less Fan noice!
On my previous laptop (HP) I used NHC, but since there's no config file for a Studio 17, I can't use that.
Are there any other tools that allow undervolting the CPU?
Update: (This looks interesting!)

Hi.
Use RMCLOCK and follow the guide below.

Yes, RMClock is the main tool to use. There are a few others, but they don't have the functionality that it does.

Do you really feel the need to do so? My 15 runs ice cold!

Any less voltage you can send to your CPU will increase the life of your processor and other components.

Yes, it doesn't hurt to undervolt your CPU. It's very beneficial and I have tested it extensively in all tests on my Inspiron 1720.
I managed to undervolt my T9300 from 1.1375v all the way to 1.0v and stress tested it for nearly 10 hours. I gained about 30 - 40 mins of battery life totalling 3 hours 15 minutes. Best of all, my CPU temps also never go above 60, and idles at 34.
Try it.
