Hi guys! I've been using my Inspiron 1520 for around one month, and since the beginning I've noticed that the brightness of my display is slightly uneven. It is slightly darker on the rightmost one inch or so.

My question is, is it normal for most monitors to have a slight variance in brightness levels, and that I'm just being picky?

FYI, my display is 1440x900 with TrueLife.

    Thanks!

probably some light bleed on the side thats brighter you just may not "see" the actual light from the bulb.. we had a system like this from toshiba they came out and put a new lcd in and it was great

No, but why did you wait so long? Call today and ask for a replacement. This should not be an issue if you are still under a month.

Yeah, I'm calling Dell as soon as their office opens tomorrow haha.
I only notice the difference under certain conditions like when looking at the Windows desktop so I thought it wasn't an issue, but then it kind of crept up onto me lol.

    Thanks!
